At Mark Cheng Creative Studios (MCCS), we are passionate about telling stories with vivid characters, strong visuals and with pop culture appeal.
We produce commercials, short films, features, and television pilots in live action and animation.
MCCS is the creative studio of former Nickelodeon executive, Mark Cheng.
MARK CHENG - FOUNDER
Cheng worked for Nickelodeon for over a decade where he created video games, apps, and developed media technology like VR and interactive storytelling. Cheng’s leadership in Games helped Nickelodeon win an Emmy for Outstanding Creative Achievement In Interactive Media.
Separately, Cheng’s live action directorial debut, Ghost Source Zero, was picked up by Sony Pictures Home Entertainment for distribution.
Most recently, Cheng worked on the Cinematics Team on DUNE: AWAKENING, an upcoming title from Funcom/Tencent. Cheng has a long-standing partnership with Hazimation Studios. Cheng also Executive Produced and Directed 20 episodes of Hippo Park season 1, an animated children’s series created by Mimo Studios.
Cheng has an MBA and studied film at Cornell University
NATHAN FAUDREE - PRODUCER, HEAD OF DEVELOPMENT
Nathan Faudree is an award-winning writer/director and the Head of Development at BARBHOUSE PRODUCTIONS. He is the creator and co-writer of A WOUNDED FAWN, which premiered at TRIBECA 2022 and is distributed by AMC+ on SHUDDER. It made numerous top ten lists for the year including ROTTEN TOMATOES, SLASH FILM and the AV CLUB. It was also nominated for a FANGORIA Chainsaw Award. His feature film directorial debut, SITE 13, premiered at the NEW YORK CITY HORROR FILM FESTIVAL, winning BEST SOUND DESIGN. After winning several more awards including BEST HORROR FILM at the MONTREAL INDEPENDENT FILM FESTIVAL and BEST AMERICAN DIRECTOR at the 8 ½ FILM FEST in Italy, you can find it on most platforms distributed by TERROR FILMS, it is currently available.

LARRY HAMA
Larry Hama is an Eisner Hall of Fame writer/artist/editor/actor who has is best known as the writer of MARVEL’S GI JOE and WOLVERINE comics in the ‘80s and ‘90s. He has also written, edited or drawn for Avengers, Conan, Batman, Wonder Woman, X-Men, Spider-Man, and dozens more. His illustrations and cartoons have appeared in National Lampoon, Esquire, New York and Rolling Stone. He is also an INKPOT award winner, and an inductee in the HARVEY AWARDS Hall of Fame. As an actor, he has appeared on TV in M.A.S.H., SNL, and ANOTHER WORLD. Recent work includes script for IRON FIST Heart of the Dragon for Marvel, and layouts for Deathstroke, Damage, and Michael Cray @ DC. Currently writing GI JOE ARAH for SKYBOUND.
MICHAEL MASUKAWA
Michael Masukawa is a Business Development, Strategy & Partnerships Executive with more than 14 years of experience in Film, TV, Location-Based Entertainment, Emerging Media and Gaming having worked at Atlas V, Secret City Adventures, Hasbro, Entertainment One, Bad Robot, ABC TV Studios, and Sonar Entertainment. He is also a Literary Manager and Producer that has guided several projects through production including THE PERFECT BITE: A DINNER EXPERIENCE INSPIRED BY GLASS ONION: A KNIVES OUT MYSTERY (with Netflix), THE GREAT C (an animated VR project based on the Philip K. Dick short story), THE SHANNARA CHRONICLES (MTV/Paramount Network), THE SON (AMC) and several independent films and documentaries.
